ABOUT DAVID

David Matson is rooted in the forest, in dance, and in deep, grounded connection—to nature, to self, and to others, both one-on-one and in community.

After a long career in the wind energy industry, David felt a powerful calling toward dance—specifically, Conscious Dance modalities. In 2010, his journey brought him to Biodanza, where he immediately felt at home. From his very first class, David recognized dance as not just movement, but as a vital key to truly living. Since then, Biodanza has become both a passion and a practice that continues to transform his life.

For David, whose primary Language of Love is Touch, Biodanza provided a safe and nourishing container that spoke directly to his heart. After 17 years of practicing, he was inspired to deepen his path and completed the three-year Biodanza Facilitator Training at the Los Angeles School of Biodanza—a process that profoundly reshaped him from the inside out.

David believes Biodanza can help people self-regulate, reconnect with their inner truth, and open to the joy of authentic connection—with themselves, with others, and with the whole of creation. Through grounding, expression, presence, and wordless moments of intimacy, Biodanza invites us to rediscover our own divinity and experience transformation beyond thought and language.

“Being in the moment is something I experience frequently when I am in the vivencial—the alive and intentional—experience of Biodanza.”
— David Matson
